We were all exhausted after the flights so we had tea at the hotel and all were off to bed early. Some had more sleep than others but we all managed to have breakfast by about 8 o'clock. Noelene and Denise were a little weary so decided to head back to the room with a cuppa after breakfast. Pam, Maureen and I decided to walk down to the centre of town, look at the harbour and visit the Information Centre. We got back shortly after 10.
So many beautiful buildings in typical Norway styles, so many houses hanging on to the edge of the mountains surrounding the town, lots of steep roofs and white washed buildings surrounded by lush green vegetation with many of the trees having already lost their leaves for winter.
The weather was overcast but we had glimpses of sun throughout our early walk so decided to return to the hotel, collect the girls and head up to Ulriken, a mountain backdrop of Bergen, accessaible via a cablecar or a 2 hour walk to the 650 metre summit up about 1400 steps. Due to time restraints we opted to get the cable car. We had bought tickets at the information centre and rail tickets at the train station near out hotel and off we went.
Took thousands of photos, many of them make it appear the weather was pretty bad, in fact it wasn't too bad, the cloud was moving quite fast so we had plenty of oppurtunity get get some great views of the city, the harbour and the valleys east of Bergen. It was pleasantly cold and no rain at all today. We had a light lunch at the summit and returned to earth unharmed.
Back on the train straight into the city centre, another walk around the harbour then home, we must have been worn out because we missed our stop and had to get off and get the train back into town. Lucky there is a train every 8 minutes so no harm done.
Got back on the train to visit the town centre again to have dinner. Big day which saw us finish tea and head home for bed at 7 o'clock. Looking forward to cruising tomorrow so we can relax and let our bodies recover from the arduous treatment they've had over the last few days.

Love the pics. Seems the choice of cable car over the steps was a good one. Love the architecture.
